J. Christopher O'Connor, MD, ATC, AAFP

Dr. O'Connor grew up in Bellefontaine.  He received his B.Sc. in Biology from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, where he also became a certified athletic trainer.  He earned his MD from the Medical College of Ohio, Toledo, and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Grant Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio.  While in residency Dr. O'Connor was awarded the honor of Outstanding First and Second Year Resident and Served as Chief Resident in his third and final year.

 

 

Boyd C. Hoddinott, B.Sc., MD, CCFP

Dr. Hoddinott earned his B.Sc. as well as football letters from McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, and obtained his medical degree from the University of Western Ontario.  In medical school, he was awarded prizes in physiology, genetics, pediatrics and psychiatry.  He was voted to the Alpha Omega Alpha Horn Society by his professors.  He spent 25 years in practice in Georgetown, Ontario where he had extensive experience treating high performance athletes.

Dr. Hoddinott is also Health Commissioner for Logan County.  In 2006 he received his Masters in Public health from Wright State University.  Dr. Hoddinott is Board Certified by the Canadian College of Family Practice and has passed his U.K. Society of Orthopedic Medicine exams.  He and his wife Jane live in Bellefontaine and have two children, Jennifer and Andrew.  Dr. Hoddinott loves skiing and golfing as well as traveling with Jane.

 

Kristen T. Braig, MD, AAFP

Dr. Braig joined Maple Leaf Family and Sports Medicine in August 2003.  She is board certified in Family Medicine and her practice will include treatment of children as well as adults.

Dr. Braig earned a B.S. psychology from Northwestern University where she also earned three letters as a varsity cheerleader and was captain of the squad as a senior.  She obtained her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.  During her time in medical schools, she participated in a three-week medical mission to Honduras.

Dr. Braig completed her Family medicine Residency as Grant Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.  During her third year, she served as the treasurer of the residency program.

Dr. Braig and her husband, Kevin are both originally from Cincinnati.  They have 2 children, Ryan and Annie.  Dr. Braig enjoys spending time with her family, spinning and bike riding.

 

Katie Miller FNP, MSN, RN

Katie is a 1999 Benjamin Logan graduate.  She earned her Bachelors at Otterbein College in Westerville and worked as a cardiology nurse for 4 years.  She obtained her Master's degree from Otterbein and came to work at Maple Leaf.  During her schooling she was able to do research in Nepal for high altitude sickness.  She also studied gerontology in Italy for a semester.  Katie participated in the trace and field team throughout college as a sprinter and pole vaulter.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Otterbein and was nominated into Sigma Theta Tau for nursing.  Katie lives in Clintonville.  Her fiance Jeremy is a Indian Lake and Ohio State graduate.  They enjoy mountain biking, skiing, running and traveling.
